Hyderabad: Lands at Madaram in Ghatkesar mandal and Rayalaraopet of Bibinagar mandal were being examined for the establishment of an MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) Industrial Park on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The proposal, which has been pending for about 10 years, will be realised within six months after the land allotment this year.
Releasing the 2018 calendar of Kapra MSME Owners Association at his office in Parishram Bhavan on Tuesday, Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) Chairman Gyadari Balamallu said about 300 acres in Madaram and another 40 acres in Rayalaraopet were identified for establishing the MSME Industrial Park. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao gave preliminary clearance for both these sites.
“Once the MSMEs’ owners approve the land, we will initiate the process for land alienation and develop the industrial park within six months after taking hold of the said land,” the corporation Chairman said. Thereafter, MSME units in Kapra would be shifted to the new industrial park.
Balamallu said the State government was giving equal priority to MSMEs on par with major industries. He assured to resolve pending issues pertaining to MSMEs shortly.
He pointed out that MSMEs were not only providing employment on a large scale, but also paying huge taxes to the State government. “Hence, the State government is keen on promoting MSMEs through the establishment of new industrial parks,” he said.
TSIIC Managing Director Narsimha Reddy said land at Rayalaraopet would be allotted for green MSME units with zero pollution. He said discussions were being held with the revenue officials of Bhongir Yadadri district for speedy allotment of land and handing it over to TSIIC at the earliest.
On the occasion, GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan urged the TSIIC Chairman to resolve the pending demands of MSMEs and ensure government incentives to them accordingly.
